Bins and the yard,
answered
The questions dispatch gets every day — which size, what can go in it, what it costs and how to get stone out the gate. If yours isn't here, call and ask. It's a 30-second phone call.
Bin rental
Renting a bin
What bin sizes do you rent?
Five: 6, 10, 14, 20 and 40 yard, each with 7 days included. Call (416) 700-1400 for pricing — we quote it on the phone once we know what's going in. The split that matters is weight — the 6, 10 and 14 are the sizes that can take heavy material like concrete, asphalt, brick and soil. The 20 and 40 are for light and mixed waste: renovation debris, wood, drywall, roofing and general junk.
Not sure? Describe the job on the phone and we'll pick it for you. We'd rather size it right than send a truck twice.
Do you take away what's in the bin?
Yes. When we supply the bin, the disposal is ours to handle. You fill it, we haul it, and where it goes and what it costs to tip is our problem rather than yours.
What we don't do is let the public drive into the yard and drop material off — that's a separate service we no longer offer. If you need material gone, rent the bin.
Can I put concrete, asphalt or soil in it?
Yes — but only in a 6, 10 or 14. A cubic yard of broken concrete weighs roughly a ton, so a 20 or a 40 filled with it ends up far heavier than a truck can legally lift off a driveway. It looks like a small bin for a big job, and by weight it isn't.
Keep it clean — no wood, plastic or garbage mixed in — and it tips as clean fill, which is the cheapest load we haul. Full detail on the what goes in page.
Will the bin wreck my driveway?
A loaded bin is heavy and roll-off wheels put that weight on a small footprint, so fresh or soft asphalt can mark. Ask for boards under the wheels when you book and the driver will lay them down.
Tell us where you want it placed before the truck arrives — repositioning a bin once it's loaded isn't really a thing.
Do I need a permit to put a bin on the road?
On your own driveway or property, no. On a city street or boulevard, most GTA municipalities require one, and it's the customer who pulls the permit with their city — we can't do it on your behalf.
Tell us if the bin has to go on the road and we'll tell you what we know about that city's rules before the truck is booked.
How long can I keep it?
Every size includes 7 days. Keep it longer and it's a flat daily rate quoted with your price — no penalty, just call and tell us so dispatch isn't chasing it.
Done early? Call and we'll usually pull it the same or the next day.
Stone & gravel
Taking material out
What aggregates do you sell?
Four products, stocked at the yard: ¾″ clear stone, ¾″ crush limestone, HPB (high-performance bedding) and recycled concrete. All four are available for pickup at the yard or delivered to your site.
Call for today's pricing — it moves with the market.
Can you deliver stone and gravel to my site?
Yes. Royal Bins & Disposal is a division of Litt Trucking Ltd., a Mississauga dump trucking company, so delivery runs on our own trucks across Mississauga, Brampton, Caledon and all over the GTA.
Call with the material, the quantity and the postal code and we'll quote the load delivered, or send the details and we'll call you back.
Can I pick up stone in my own truck or trailer?
Yes — pickups, dump trailers, tandems and triaxles are all fine. Come to the yard at Dixie & Derry, 7 days a week, and we'll load you.
Give us a rough tonnage when you call and we'll tell you if it fits in one trip.
Is your material recycled?
Our clear stone, crush limestone and HPB are sourced directly from the quarry — fresh, consistent material that meets the required specifications.
Recycled concrete is stocked separately as its own product, for base, backfill and fill where new stone isn't called for. Tell us what the job or the spec calls for and we'll point you at the right pile.
